The Red Lion, dating back to 1715, is Baydon’s only pub. As a free house it provides the opportunity to sample good beers and there is a growing interest in our local Ramsbury Brewery’s Gin and Vodka as well!
The free house tradition will continue under community ownership offering a wide variety of drinks both alcoholic and not! We’d want to introduce craft beers and other artisan products.
The pub is right at the heart of the village on Ermin Street, the main road through the village. It’s opposite the village green and next to the village stores and post office.
It has a bar, a dining room and B&B accommodation with planning permission to expand the public areas and to upgrade the existing Ladies and Gents.
There is a small garden which is perfect for summer evenings.
